How tkg and CapeBPO are supporting buyers to outsource to suppliers in the Western Cape

tkg and CapeBPO

Overview.

Given our combined expertise and extensive knowledge of the South African outsourcing marketplace, our partnership with inward investment agency, CapeBPO, aims to advance and showcase the capabilities of suppliers in the Western Cape that can equip businesses to provide outstanding, ethically outsourced service. We seek to enable buyers to access customer service and outsourced suppliers more easily and demonstrate what the region has to offer.

We were selected by CapeBPO to build a master service partnership (MSP) model, where tkg orchestrates a selection of smaller suppliers to present as a larger capacity to clients. This model allows smaller suppliers access to larger opportunities they would not otherwise have been able to bid for. It also allows buyers access to a different economic model where they can benefit from some of the advantages smaller suppliers provide, such as lower costs and greater agility, without fragmenting their supply chain with lots of small suppliers.

A key part of our model with CapeBPO is our focus on co-creating solutions with buyers to ensure each programme maximises value across management and service delivery. We work with buyers at each touchpoint in the supply chain to ensure that they have the right level of control and visibility of performance. Our solution allows buyers to replicate their processes, procedures, policies and technology delivery within our eco-system, making it a seamless and frictionless extension of their business. We want to ensure that using our solutions gives clients greater access to scalability, capability and expertise.

A key part of this model is the use of our digital procurement platform. With our platform, we can enable the efficient sourcing of services using our real-time dataset on customer experience, contact centre and BPO suppliers. Prior to the formation of the MSP, we already held a wide variety of relevant data points on each of the suppliers in our marketplace, covering their services offered, language capabilities and available capacity. Should buyers wish to conduct a sourcing exercise, suppliers are then only required to respond to solution and commercial requirements; completely easing and shortening the buying cycle. Equally, should scalability be required, we can support with the creation of supplier eco-systems or networks of smaller suppliers to meet larger outsourcing demands. This flexibility and tailoring of solutions is something tkg and CapeBPO felt was important for our model.

“The MSP allows buyers to procure customer management solutions at scale in the region through smart sourcing solutions. By becoming a member of the MSP eco-system, suppliers will be able to access tenders and compete on a level playing field through a fast and efficient procurement platform. By building an eco-system with multiple suppliers through the MSP, we will create a scale of operation to compete abroad.” – tkg team

“The Master Service Partnership represents a significant milestone and opportunity for CapeBPO as we pivot towards the progressive and inclusive marketing of our regional service offering through operator-led capability that is profiled via tkg’s digital procurement platform. We are proud to be associated with tkg and look forward to leveraging their vast capability and credibility.” – Clayton Williams, CEO CapeBPO
